Heights Youngsters Meet 'The Cat in the Hat'
Hasbrouck Heights Junior Womans Club hosted a storytime for youngsters who participated in their Read Across America art contest.
School youngsters got a special treat Thursday as the "Cat in the Hat" paid them a visit at the Hasbrouck Heights Library on the eve of Dr. Seuss' birthday recognized as Read Across America Day.
The youngsters had participated in the Hasbrouck Heights Junior Women's Club art contest where they were asked to draw their favorite book character. After a storytime with the "Cat in the Hat," the winners were presented with certificates and a their artwork in the form of a puzzle.

First place - Navya Gupta, first grade at Corpus Christi School
Second place - Dhwani Agarwal, Kindergarten at Corpus Christi School
Third place - Matthew Palmiotto, first grade at Corpus Christi School
Grades 2 to 3
First place - Alexis Mason, third grade Lincoln School
Second place - Nathalie Pojades, second grade Euclid School
Third place - Erica Yau, second grade Euclid School
Grades 4 to 5
First place - Kyoka Sumitomo, fifth grade Lincoln School
Second place - Nlthin Vadakken, fourth grade Euclid School
Third place - Tenzin Dekyl, fifth grade Lincoln School
