Nonviolent Crime Rates Fall in Hasbrouck Heights, Violent Crimes Stagnate
Compared to the first half of 2013, Hasbrouck Heights saw fewer nonviolent crimes, same number of violent crimes in the first half of 2014.

New Jersey State Police have released their Uniform Crime Report for the first two quarters of 2014. According to their reports, Hasbrouck Heights’ crime index has fallen from 41 to 26 in the last year, a 33 percent decrease in overall crime.
Hasbrouck Heights saw 2 incidents of violent crime between January and June of both 2013 and 2014.
Paramus Police reported 39 nonviolent crimes in the first half of 2013, and 24 in the first half of 2014, falling 38 percent.
