Police Salary Ordinances on Public Hearing Tuesday

Hasbrouck Heights mayor and council meets Tuesday at 8 p.m. in council chambers.

Hasbrouck Heights council is expected to approve salary increases of about 1.75 for 2013 for police department officers and its chief Tuesday night during the regular public meeting.

The ordinances were introduced earlier this month with a 5-1 vote in favor. A public hearing on the ordinances will be conducted, as well as an ordinance which amends the funding towards the Woodland Park pavillion project which is currently underway.

Also on the agenda for Tuesday the mayor and council are expected to accept the resignation of Steven Pell from the Fire Department's Hook and Ladder Company One.
