Hasbrouck Heights Board of Education plan to adopt a tenative school budget during a special public meeting set for Wednesday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. The tenative budget will then be sent to the county for approval. The board will present the budget in detail to the public at the Thursday, March 21 regular public meeting. Last week the district learned it would receive $1,101,186 in state aid for school year 2013-2014. Last March the Hasbrouck Heights district approved a budget with a <a href="../../articles/school-budget-proposal-details-unveiled-tuesday" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">3.63 tax point increase </a>amount to an extra $127 in taxes for the year. Also coming up this week The Hasbrouck Heights High School music department will present its annual Pops Concert this Wednesay, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kiefer auditorium. The <a href="https://patch.com/A-2dsM" rel="nofollow">Hasbrouck Heights Juniors Womans Club annual St. Patrick's Day party</a> fundraiser is coming up on Saturday, March 9 at the Elks Lodge. The <a href="https://patch.com/E-tNDW" rel="nofollow">Knights of Columbus of Corpus Christi Church host their annual Saint Patty's Day Dinner</a> at the school cafeteria on Sunday, March from 5 to 7 p.m.
