UNIQLO Opens to Hundreds at Garden State Plaza
Hundreds crowded into Garden State Plaza Friday to be among the first to walk into the new UNIQLO clothing store for its grand opening.
Hiroshima. Shanghai. London. Moscow. New York City and now Paramus.
On Friday, Paramus joined a growing list of more than 1,100 major cities all around the world as home to UNIQLO, the Japanese clothing retailer which just opened its largest mall store at Garden State Plaza.
More than 500 people lined up inside the mall anxious to get inside the grand two-story 43,000 square foot store.

Paramus Mayor Richard LaBarbiera joined Shin Odake, UNIQLO USA CEO to cut the ribbon officially marking the opening.
The celebration had only just begun as patrons started to make their way inside as the sounds of Japanese Taiko drumming kicked in as performers put on a energetic show at the store's mall entrance.

It only took a few minutes once the doors were officially open for the store to become crowded with eager patrons eyeing the coolest fashions, trying on items and of course lining up at the register to take advantage of the specially priced items the store is offering on its grand opening weekend.
UNIQLO carries all the basics in mens and womens clothing, a line of cashmere items, and their exclusive Heattech and Premimum Ultra Light Down clothing items.
The celebration continues all weekend with entertainment, specially marked down items, free giveaways such as tote bags to its first 1,000 customers each day. UNIQLO is also offering its customers a chance to win a $1,000 gift card by spinning the special prize wheel in the store.
