Spring Cleaning at Children’s Garden for Earth Day at Flat Rock Brook Nature Center
When/Where: Saturday 3 p.m.; Flat Rock Brook Nature Center, 443 Van Nostrand Avenue, Englewood.
Why Go: A chance to get dirty and have some fun preparing the Children’s Garden for a wonderful growing season. No need to register. Free for all.
Bounce U $2 Admission to Raise money for Tomorrow's Children Fund
When/Where: Friday 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Bounce U, 70 Eisenhower Drive, Paramus.
Why Go: Because supporting Child Life Therapy Programs is always a good thing to do.
St. Mary's of Rutherford Annual Spring Carnival.
When/Where: Friday 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Memorial Field, Darwin Ave, Rutherford.
Why Go: If the Carnival’s in town spring must be here. Also, supporting a school is always a good thing to do, especially when you can have so much fun doing it.
Bergen County Court Lot Flea Market & Collectible Show Outdoors
When/Where: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bergen County Courthouse Parking Lot, River Road, Hackensack.
Why Go: You can always get some great finds at a flea market! Think shabby chic.

Hackensack River Keeper Party for the Planet at Van Saun Zoo

Why Go: How better to celebrate Earth Day than by learning about conservation in Bergen County? Zoo admission is free for the day.
