ESL Conversation Group – Oct. 14 and Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.
Sign up for our mixed gender ESL Conversation Group in the Hillsborough Library Conference Room. 
The program runs through Dec. 16, 2013. Ages 18 and older. Must know basic English. 
Book Discussion: The Careerist – Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. If you are interested in advancing your career, setting goals, building a team, and delivering presentations, join us in the Career Book Discussion Group to exchange ideas presented in 'The Careerist:  Over 100 Ways to Get Ahead at Work' by Rhymer Rigby.

Monday Morning Playtime  – For Parents/Caregivers – Oct. 21 at 10 a.m.
This program will have different topics of discussion along with recommended resources. Children ages birth through 36 months are welcome, there will be toys for them to play with.  Join us for some great social interaction!
Story Time: Halloween – Ages 4-6 – Oct. 21 at 1 p.m.
Help your preschool or kindergarten child get ready to read! Enjoy stories together and build language skills. No registration required! 
Tail Waggin’ Tutors – Grades K-4 – Oct. 21 at 4 p.m.
This is Therapy Dog International's Program: Children Reading to Dogs! Spend time reading to Xena, a TDI certified dog! Each registered child will get 10 special minutes practicing reading skills while Xena listens.
Toddler Time for 2's and 3's: Music – Ages 2-3 – Oct. 22 at 10 a.m.
Introduce the pleasure of books to your child! Join us for stories, songs & more. 
Rhyme Time for ages Newborn - 24 Months – Oct. 22 at 10:30 a.m.

An exciting program for brand-new readers! At each program we will discuss the book, do some activities and make a craft. Please be sure to read the book before the program. Copies will be available at the Children's Desk. This program: “The High Rise Private Eyes: The Case of the Desperate Duck” by Cynthia Rylant.
Preschool Book Club – For Parents and Children Ages 3-5 – Oct. 23 at 10 a.m.
Join us as we read books by Nancy Tafuri and share book-related activities.
Parent/Teacher Workshop for Parents, Early Childhood Educators & Caregivers – Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
Somerset County Library System presents: Parent/Teacher Workshop: A Workshop for Early Childhood Educators, Parents and Caregivers - Homework: A Survival Guide. Huntington Learning Center will discuss the most prevalent problems facing parents when dealing with their child's homework. You'll learn practical, step-by-step solutions to end homework hassles. The workshop is free of charge and 1.5 professional development hours will be awarded to attendees.
Craft Time: Halloween Craft – Ages 4-6 – Oct. 24 at 10 a.m.
Have fun making a craft with your preschool or kindergarten child!
Kidz Art Zone: Colorful Collage – Drawing With Scissors! -  Grades 3-4 – Oct. 24 at 4 p.m.
