HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A father and son duo are bringing a sense of "old-fashioned" living to Hillsborough with their fresh glass bottle milk delivery.

Jeff Milling of Old Bridge started Udderly Delicious 35 years ago in the Kendall Park, Franklin Park and the Belle Mead area.

Now he is passing on the legacy to his son Brandon who is expanding further into Somerset County with his first delivery in Hillsborough on Wednesday afternoon.

"He grew up always having the milkman delivering milk to him and thought it would be really cool to do the same thing," said Brandon.

Jeff did some research and found King Dairy Farm up in Saratoga, New York allowing Udderly Delicious to be single-sourced milk — meaning that there is no blending of milk from other farms, thus assuring quality control.

All of their milk is 100 percent certified natural, with no rBST, no GMO, no growth hormones, and no preservatives. The milk is produced and delivered the same day in a refrigerator truck and has a 14- to 17-day expiration.

While in high school, Brandon started to sell the chocolate milk to his basketball teammates, who all said it was "one of the best chocolate milks anyone has ever had," said Brandon.

When the COVID pandemic hit, Udderly Delicious really took off for the pair. Word of mouth spread and with enough customer demand, Brandon said they are now expanding into Hillsborough.

Deliveries are once a week and customers are advised to leave out a cooler or "some people like to leave old-fashioned milk boxes," said Brandon.

All of the bottles are taken back each week to help the environment. They serve Middlesex, Monmouth, and Union counties.

Along with fresh milk, Udderly Delicious also delivers fresh beef, seafood, poultry, pork, turkey, lamb, veal, kabobs, wraps, appetizers, pastas, desserts, honey and CBD products.

Brandon said his dad is looking to fully pass on the business to him within a year or two.

"I'm excited I always wanted to be in business and I always loved the idea of what he does," said Brandon.

"I love it I always wanted to hand it down to him," said Jeff. "It's funny how things happen, I am very happy about it."
