Flash Flood Warning, Road Closures In Somerset County
Showers are expected to continue for the rest of the day on Wednesday and continue into Saturday.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — A Flash Flood Warning has been issued in Somerset County by the National Weather Service(NWS) on Wednesday until 7:30 p.m.
Flooding is possible in small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low-lying areas.
"Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles," said the NWS.

Additionally, flooding on Wednesday has caused multiple roads to close in Somerset County.

- Blackpoint Road is closed from Amwell Road in Hillsborough to Woodfern Road in Branchburg
- Grandview Road is closed between Kenvue and Fairview Road in Montgomery
- Camp Meeting Avenue is closed between Hollow Road and Fairview Road in Montgomery
- Sunset Road is closed between Route 601 and Elm in Montgomery due to heavy flooding
Drivers are asked to plan an alternate route.

Wednesday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 7 p.m., then a chance of showers. Areas of fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 58. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday: A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Areas of fog before 9 a.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 74. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 7 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 60. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Friday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m., then a slight chance of showers after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Saturday: A chance of showers before 11 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., then showers after 2 p.m. High near 81. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
Saturday Night: Showers before 8 p.m. Low around 59. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
