Hillsborough Boy Scout Renovates Church's Hall, Honored By Township Committee
Devin Milano of Boy Scout Troop 1776 achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with his project at the Neshanic Reformed Church.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough High School Freshman and member of Boy Scout Troop 1776, Devin Milano, was honored by the Township Committee with a proclamation for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.
Mayor John Ciccarelli read the proclamation at the May 27 Township Committee meeting recognizing "the many hours Devin devoted to achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, working with diligence, and making sacrifices to reach this highly coveted accomplishment."
Devin's Eagle Scout project consisted of painting, hanging a chair rail, and renovating the entire Fellowship Hall at Neshanic Reformed Church.

The project took nine days to complete with more than 50 volunteers and around 410 hours.
Devin served as Chaplain’s Aide, a cooking instructor, and is currently the Troop Guide for Service. He has completed 20 more merit badges than are required for an Eagle Scout.

Devin is on the Hillsborough High School Junior Varsity Tennis Team and is a member of the Medical Minds Club. Devin has been a team leader on the Hillsborough Chase Thanksgiving Project for five years serving as co-director last year, and ran a blood drive in 2022.
"Devin serves as an example to the youth of Hillsborough Township through his high level of leadership and community service, and we are very proud that he is a member of our community," according to the proclamation. "The Mayor and Hillsborough Township Committee, do hereby
recognize and extend our sincere congratulations to Devin Milano for having achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, an honor for both himself and for those who guided him, with best wishes for a bright future."
