ICYMI: Two Charged for Giving "Fictitious Accounts' of Hillsborough Car Accident

Two men have been charged with obstruction of justice for giving false accounts of what happened during a motor vehicle accident on Weston Road in Hillsborough last month. Both were also charged for racing during the Aug. 6 incident.

According to the Hillsborough Beacon, Kenneth Ball, 52, of Hillsborough, is charged with:

• obstruction of justice
  
• careless driving
• leaving the scene of an accident
• failure to report an accident,
• reckless driving
• racing
• failure to have the vehicle inspected
• failure to stay in a lane
  
• produce a driver’s license
  
• proof of insurance

Shawn Packard, 42, of Flemington, is charged with:

• obstruction of justice
• abandoning a motor vehicle on private property
• racing
