Library Loaded With Events This Week

The festive and scientific are on display over the next seven days.

There are a lot of different events taking place at the library this week. They span from a St. Patrick's Day theme to some scientific fun.

Here's a look at what else is happening this week:

Monday-A program discussing the magical and medicinal legend and lore of herbs and spices will be led by Kathryn Weidener in the 's Program Room A at 7 p.m.

Tuesday-"Seasons," a sibling harp and hammered dulcimer trio, will perform Irish music in the West Wing of the at 7 p.m., providing a perfect primer for St. Patrick's Day.

Wednesday-The Neshanic Garden Club will help children in second through fifth grades create mosaic tiles at 4 p.m. in Program Room A of the .

Thursday-Children ages 4 to 6 will interact with hands-on science activities in Program Room A of the at 10 a.m. The theme will be "Floaters and Sinkers."

Friday-Children ages 3 to 5 will visit imaginary points around the globe at the at 1:30 p.m. during an event called "Wild Earth Tour." Activities such as rainforest Bingo, bowling for penguins, and building a cactus will be included. Advanced payment is required, so make sure to check the event listing soon.

Saturday-Come out for a night of music and dancing with some friends, light food, and refreshments to benefit the is holding. They are calling it a night of rock n' roll, and music will be provided by the band The Tattered Prophets.

Sunday-The second annual Run from Winter 10K will be held at in Bridgewater from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The course is USATF certified and sanctioned and is also a 500 point New Jersey Grand Prix Event.
