Motorcyclist Critically Injured, Flown To Hospital After Crash In Somerset County
The crash involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle, with a 49-year-old man accompanied by his 3-year-old daughter, said police.

FRANKLIN, NJ — A motorcyclist was flown by medivac to a hospital in critical condition following a crash with a car that had a father and his 3-year-old inside in Franklin on Saturday.
At 10:41 p.m., Franklin Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Cedar Grove Lane and Pierce Street.
A 2022 Ducati V4 motorcycle, operated by a 45-year-old man from Somerset, was traveling southbound on Cedar Grove Lane towards Pierce Street when the collision took place, said Franklin Police Captain Vincent T. Wilson.

The rider sustained critical injuries and was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital - New Brunswick for medical treatment.
The passenger vehicle was a 2008 Lexus driven by a 49-year-old man, who was accompanied by his 3-year-old daughter from Pleasant Hill, North Carolina, said Wilson.

Both father and daughter were driving southbound on Cedar Grove Lane towards Pierce Street at the time of the crash, said Wilson.
The driver and his daughter were not seriously injured.
The Franklin Township Police Department's Traffic Safety Bureau has initiated an investigation to determine any additional factors that may have contributed to the crash.
