Oscar Mayer's Wienermobile Coming To Somerset County

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The famed Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is coming to town, making eight stops in the New Jersey including Hillsborough.

The 27-foot long hot dog on wheels will appear on Thursday at ShopRite at 601 Route 206 in Hillsborough from 2:30 to 5 p.m.

According to Oscar Mayer, the Wienermobile is driven by folks known as "hotdoggers" who hand out souvenirs to fans. There are six Wienermobiles traveling across the country at all times.

"We'll be spreading smiles and handing out the iconic wiener-whistles at these events," according to a spokesperson with Oscar Mayer.

The Wienermobiles are sophisticated vehicles, sporting V8 engines, 52-inch flat-screen TVs, removable "bun roofs" and hot dog-shaped dashboards.
