Somerset County Man Charged for Marijuana Distribution, Child Endangerment

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged for the possession and distribution of marijuana, as well as child endangerment.

A 23-year-old Bound Brook man has been arrested and charged for the possession and distribution of marijuana, as well as child endangerment.

“On August 26, 2015, as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation regarding the distribution of marijuana by defendant Perkins, detectives assigned to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crime and Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant of Alquayon L. Perkins‘ Romney Road residence,” according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

The search resulted in the seizure of:

  • 23.2 grams of marijuana
  • a digital scale
  • packaging materials
  • a Ruger GP100 .357 Magnum handgun
  • 44 rounds of ammunition of which 25 were hollow point .357 rounds
  • $14,535.00 in U.S. Currency

Perkins’ resides in the residence with 2 minor children. The estimated street value of the Marijuana seized by Task Force members was approximately $1,400.00.

  • Possession of CDS (Marijuana) with the Intent to Distribute, 4th Degree
  • Possession of a Handgun While Committing a CDS Offense, 2nd Degree
  • Possession of Hollow Point Bullets, 4th Degree
  • 2 counts of Child Endangerment, 2nd Degree
