Election season is coming up and three residents are seeking votes for the Hillsborough Township Committee.
The deadline to submit a petition to be placed on the ballot came and went on Monday, March 30. Three residents are on the ballot for two posts on the Hillsborough Township Committee.
Incumbent Republicans Carl Suraci and Greg Burchette and Democrat Ann Harris all filed Monday. Suraci and Burchette are seeking their fifth and second three-year terms, respectively.

Two positions of the five-member Township Committee will be decided later this year.
Anyone looking to run as an Independent in the General Election has until the end of the Primary Election to submit his or her name.

The Primary is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, with polls open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
