Township Recognizes Jr. Legion Baseball Team for Championship Season
Ends season with 28-2 record.
The members of the Hillsborough Jr. Legion Baseball team were honored by Hillsborough Township recently, after the team ended its 2013 season winning several titles and compiling a 28-2 record.
The team won the Hamilton Memorial Weekend Tournament, the junior division of the American Legion League of Central and Western New Jersey, and the Pyramid baseball League Somerset/Hunterdon/Warren Division Championship.
The team received a township proclamation, presented at the Sept. 10 Township Committee meeting.
The team is coached by Jim Maggio (head coach), Tony Guidice, Frank Ur and Jay Jeney.
Members of the team include Mike Engelhardt, Andrew Fox, Max Guidice, Ryan Iarkowski, Kyle Jeney, Elias Ku, Zach Maggio, Asher Masten, Cole Norfleet, Alec Romanoski, Jeff Serin, Dan Stoddard, Jimmy Suseck, Zach Tackach, Mike Ur, Chris Vadinsky and Eric Zickert.
