3 'Persons Of Interest' Sought In Hoboken Shooting, Police Say
A teen was arrested, but a least 3 other people are being sought in connection with a shooting in Hoboken, the police say.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A teen was charged with attempted murder in December after the Hoboken police responded to a report of shots fired, but investigators are still seeking three "persons of interest," they said Wednesday.
On Dec. 19, police received several 911 calls about shots fired in the area of Fourth and Jackson streets.
Area schools were put on lockdown. The incident started as a "dispute between two groups who knew each other and ended with the exchange of gunfire," said a police spokesperson at the time.

Police soon arrested 18-year-old Elias Mercado of Kearny, who remains in the Hudson County Correctional Facility and faces multiple charges.
A follow-up investigation by the Hoboken Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit, led by Det. Sgt. William Collins, resulted in the identification of two other people wanted in connection with the incident, police said. Complaints have been issued for their arrests. But the police are still seeking to identify three more.
