Accused Rapist Doused Victim In Rum, Set Her On Fire, Hudson Co. Prosecutor Says
An accused rapist doused his victim in rum and set her on fire after climbing through her window in North Jersey, says a court document.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — A man who sexually assaulted a Jersey City woman after climbing through her window on Sunday also doused her in rum and set her on fire, according to a court document.
Jermaine Adams — who is listed in the complaint as homeless — wrapped a clothesline and his hand around the victim's neck to restrict her airway, and sexually assaulted her, says the charging complaint filed Thursday by the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
Adams also poured rum on the victim and lit her sweater on fire, the complaint says.
