Happy Snow Day: All Hoboken Public Schools Closed Friday

We have another snow storm on our hands

Snow is falling outside, and that means a snow day for Hoboken's students.

The Hoboken Board of Education just announced on its Web site that all schools have been closed for the rest of the day—which means all after school activities are canceled—and will be closed Friday, because of the snow storm.

The National Weather Service predicted between four and eight inches of snow during the day and another four to eight inches during the night. More snow is coming tomorrow, accumulating between one and three inches during the day.

A winter storm warning is in effect, and winds can be between 21 and 25 miles per hour tonight. Media have already deemed the storm a "snow-icane," because of the wind.

The last time Hoboken closed its schools because of the weather was on Feb. 10 and 11, when Hoboken was also blanketed in snow.
