Hoboken to Receive Grant Extension to Buy Southwest Park
Without the extension, the $3 million grant expires this month.

The city will have an extra year to spend $3 million on a park in the southwest.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Hudson County Board of Freeholders were scheduled to vote on granting the city an extension. The initial deadline was later this month.
"The extension will be granted," Hudson County Freeholder Anthony Romano said in a quick phone chat on Tuesday.
