Brand New Bike Stolen From the Street

A 54-year-old Hoboken woman reported the theft of her son's bike on Tuesday, police said. 

The bike had been parked in the area of 300 Grand St. and was worth about $180, according to police reports. 

She said that her son's 2012 red-silver-white colored bike had been secured to the gate at 300 Grand St. The lock was also stolen. 

It's unknown who took the bike, but there may be some video surveillance material to help with the investigation, according to the police report. 

The bike had been purchased about three weeks ago, police said.
