Cause of Death Still Unclear for Body Found at Stevens; Homicide Ruled Out

A body was found in a dormitory at Stevens Institute of Technology on Monday.

Homicide or foul play has been ruled out in the death of an individual found in a Stevens Institute of Technology dorm room on Monday afternoon.  

As of Tuesday morning, the individual's identity had not been made public. 

According to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office, the case will not be investigated by them, because homicide has been ruled out. The Prosecutor's office was called in on Monday afternoon after the body was found.

According to a University spokesman, the body was found around 3 p.m. and the medical examiner was still investigating the case on Tuesday morning. The cause of death was not yet determined. It's unclear who found the body. 

Hoboken police couldn't comment, because a report had not been drawn up yet.

The Stevens School paper, The Stute, reported that there were no signs of foul play or struggle.
