City Council To Vote on Rehabilitation Resolution For Neumann Leather Building

Proposed revisions to a 2011 resolution will designate the Neumann Leather property as "an area in need of rehabilitation."

City council will vote tonight on a revision to a 2011 resolution that designated the Neumann Leather property as “an area in need of rehabilitation.”

A state appellate court threw out the resolution last week, saying that the city missed a state sewage statute by using the word “or” instead of “and.”

Mayor Zimmer said the city should be able to re-approve the property, which was sold on September 26, for rehabilitation.
