City to Open Warming Center at Wallace School as Freezing Temps Hit the Mile Square
A warming center will be open from Wednesday, Jan. 7 - through Thursday morning at the Hoboken school, as temperatures drop to 10 degrees.

A warming center will open at Wallace School on Wednesday night, as freezing temperatures and light snow hit the Mile Square City.
Temperatures in Hoboken are expected to drop as low as 10 degrees with the wind chill Wednesday night, a representative from the City said. The warming center will be open from 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, until 8 a.m. on Thursday, Jan.8.
Wallace School is located at 1100 Willow Avenue in Hoboken, the City of Hoboken Office of Emergency Management and Community Emergency Response Team stated.

The National Weather Service first issued a Winter Weather Advisory alert on Monday evening. Accuweather.com also projected that it will feel like it’s between 15 and 30 degrees colder than the actual temperature at all times. For more information on the advisory, click here.
