City Still in Negotiations to Acquire Southwest Park

The city approved the use of eminent domain earlier this year, to acquire the park.

The city is still in , with the goal of acquiring about an acre in parkland.

The land will be paid for with a the city has in its coffers. The grant, however——is set to expire next month. 

City spokesman Juan Melli said that negotiations were ongoing, but that no final agreement had been reached.
