Corporation Counsel Mark Tabakin No Longer Working for City

Zimmer announced it to the city council in a memo on Wednesday.

Corporation Counsel Mark Tabakin is no longer employed by the city, according to a memo from Mayor Dawn Zimmer to the city council.

"It is important that we have an in-house and full time Corporation Counsel and we will be conducting a search to identify someone for that position," Zimmer wrote. "Mark Tabakin has done a remarkable job in his part-time capacity."

Tabakin said during recent council meetings that he had not gotten paid for many months of work. One such discussions resulted in a fairly heated back-and-forth with Councilman Michael Russo.
