Man Strikes Multiple Parked Vehicles With Car: Hoboken Cops

According to police, John Limato, 24,​ of Morristown is facing multiple charges, including DWI, leaving the scene of an accident and more.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A Morristown man was taken to jail after Hoboken police said he struck multiple vehicles with his car and fled the scene.

John Limato, 24, has been charged with DWI, reckless driving, possession of open container of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, and improper use of a cell phone in a moving vehicle.

Hoboken Police Chief Ken Ferrante said that on Sunday, Limato struck several parked vehicles on 8th and 9th Streets before fleeing the scene with "missing wheels."

After slamming into the vehicles, the police chief said Limato ultimately bailed out of his vehicle on foot.

Chief Ferrante said officers caught Limato near 221 Jackson St. Sergeant Edward Sellick responded and conducted a field sobriety test.

According to police, officers located open alcohol containers inside of his car.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
