Elysian Charter School Students Win $5,000 in Video Contest
The students compiled a song about the "best charter school of New Jersey."

The New Jersey Charter Schools Association awarded Elysian—which has 288 students up to eighth grade—with $5,000 after submitting the most popular video in the "I Love My Schools Contest."
In 90 seconds, Elysian's students sing, clap and dance, telling the audience why Elysian is the best, ending with "that's why I love ECS!" Among other things, they get to call their teachers by their first names.

Charter schools across the state submitted a video to the NJCSA's Facebook page and winners were selected by combined popular vote and committee selection. Elysian was selected from a pool of 15 contestants and received 546 votes on Facebook and more than 2,000 views on YouTube.
