Eminent Domain, A Large Gift to the Homeless Shelter Top This Week's News

In an effort to stimulate the local economy, the city is hosting a 'Shop Hoboken' event on June 9 and June 10. 

The city council approved a gift to the Hoboken Homeless Shelter. The money will go toward its affordable housing program. 

As the city looks to acquire parkland in the Southwestern part of town, the city council voted on first reading to approve the use of eminent domain in the negotiations.
