A 28-year-old Fairview woman was allegedly assaulted in Hoboken over the weekend.
The woman told police that a man who goes by "Champagne" had punched her in the face with his fist, police said. The incident took place in the area of 500 Marshall Dr.
The woman had met the man once through a mutual friend. When she saw him walk into the building early Saturday morning, while she was standing on the front steps, when he walked into her shoulder, according to the reports.

She immediately said, "what’s your problem?"
The man then allegedly turned to her and struck her in the face without saying anything.

He then allegedly shoved her and pushed her down the steps. The man then left the area, police said, and wasn't found.
The woman refused to sign a complaint.
