Festival Preview: Hannah Valente

This 12-year-old is taking on the big stage on May 2nd.

Hannah Valente is ready to take on the big stage in Hoboken on May 2. After years of performing on the children's stage, the (almost) 12-year-old is ready to perform on the larger podium. 

When cultural affairs Director Geri Fallo asked her to perform during the annual Arts and Music Festival, "I was like: definitely, I'd be so glad," Valente said. 

Valente lives in Hoboken but attends  st. frances academy in Union City, where she is a cheerleader and plays on the soccer team. "I'm very busy," she said.

Valente and her sisters will be performing songs by singers such as Cher and Taylor Swift. 

Although Valente has been performing for many years—since she was 3-years-old—she said doesn't aim to be a professional singer.

"I actually want to be an environmental attorney," she said.
