Flood Statement Issued For Hoboken Area: See When
After more than a month of dry skies, wind gusts and more than 2 inches of rain are expected in Hoboken. See when flooding may happen.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — After a month of drought and fire warnings, a storm may bring more than 2 inches of rain to the Hoboken area before it ends Friday morning, forecasters say.
A coastal flood statement was issued for 10 a.m. through 1 p.m. Thursday, as a high tide of 4.7 feet is expected at 11:51 a.m.
Wind gusts of up to 24 MPH were expected Thursday night, and 21 MPH Friday.

If there is flooding, it's expected to be minimal, and only near the river, the NWS says.
"Brief minor flooding of the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline" is what they expect. They reminded residents not to drive through flooded roadways.

The National Weather Service said that an inch of rain was expected overnight into Thursday morning, another inch throughout the day, and a half inch Thursday night. Light rain will continue Friday.

The weekend will be dry, with a mix of clouds and sun and temperatures in the 40s and 50s. See the forecast here.
What about on Thanskgiving? The long-range forecast from Accuweather says the day will be partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers.
