Officers woke up the driver, later identified as Barree, and noticed an open alcoholic beverage container in the cup holder near the driver’s seat, police said.

It was discovered that he had an outstanding warrant from Texas, police said.

He was placed under arrest and taken to Hoboken Police Headquarters, where he was charged. After being processed, he was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, police said.

When asked about the baby and possibly other charges, Hoboken police spokesperson Marci Rubin said, "This was an arrest on an open warrant. No other charges were filed. The child was left with another adult who was on scene."
