Get Into Spooky Spirit In Hoboken With NJ Debut Of 'Sleepy Hollow' Play
Hoboken's local professional theater company is back with a version of Washington Irving's tale in time for Halloween.

HOBOKEN, NJ – Ichabod Crane has arrived in Hoboken to spook adults and older children who enjoy live theater.
Mile Square Theatre, Hoboken's professional theater company, has kicked off its 21st season with the New Jersey premiere of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," written by John Minigan.
The "thrilling" production will run for a limited engagement through Oct. 20 at the Mile Square Theatre's home, located at 1400 Clinton St., Hoboken.

About the Show
"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" tells the classic tale of Ichabod Crane, the lovelorn schoolmaster who faces the eerie Headless Horseman on a shadowy night.

This adaptation features one actor embodying all characters, including the enchanting Katrina Von Tassel and the burly Brom Bones.
It stars Shawn K. Jain (For All Mankind; WeCrashed).
The creative team includes Matthew J. Fick, scenic designer, and costume designer Allison Essanason. The stage manager is Arielle Legere.
“I grew up obsessed with the animated version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” said Kevin R. Free, the artistic director of Mile Square Theatre. “Producing this version, with its exhilarating plot twists and turns, has been a spooky joy, from start to finish. A lot has changed at Mile Square Theatre, but our love of juicy storytelling has stayed with us.”
The play runs for 80 minutes with no intermission. It's recommended for children 9 and up.
