Nana's opened in Colorado two years ago and has expanded to Scarsdale, N.Y. The Hoboken shop will be their first New Jersey location.

They also have plans to open in New York City and Connecticut.

A spokesperson for the developers, The Taurasi Group, noted, "The menu features classic dim sum favorites like shrimp and pork dumplings, siu mai, and black bean spareribs, along with Cantonese-inspired dishes, noodles, buns, fried rice, soups, and heartier entrees."

Other Stores To Open

Other stores and restaurants coming to the location at 38 Jackson St. will include a 25,100-square-foot fitness facility, a 12,500-square-foot Dumbo Market supermarket, and Under Pressure Espresso Bar (a 2,223-square-foot craft coffee shop), and Greek Kitchen.

An additional 24,285-square-foot anchor tenant is expected to be announced soon, said a spokesman for the Taurasi Group.

“Nana’s is exactly the kind of tenant we envisioned for Southend Hoboken — a vibrant, high-quality restaurant that complements the residential, retail, and lifestyle elements we’re creating,” said Gary Mezzatesta, managing partner of The Taurasi Group.

“Our scouting team spent more than a year researching new markets, and we knew right away that the south end of Hoboken was the right fit for Nana’s,” said Nick Yang, Director, East Nana Holding.
