Snow Squall Could Impact Hoboken, Jersey City, NWS Says
A special weather statement said a snow squall was moving east across New Jersey, and may impact Hoboken and Jersey City.

HOBOKEN, NJ — While the sun has emerged in Hudson County, the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement at 9:17 a.m., saying a snow squall was moving across North Jersey.
They said it could impact: Newark, Jersey City, Jamaica, Yonkers, Paterson, Elizabeth, Flatbush, New Rochelle, Flushing, Passaic, Bayonne, White Plains, Wayne, Mott Haven, and Hoboken.
"Hazard: A snow squall accompanied by winds of up to 40 MPH which can rapidly reduce visibility to less than one mile," they said. "At 9:15 a.m. EST, a snow squall was along a line extending from Lake Mohawk to Far Hills to Dublin and moving east at 35 MPH."

The NWS also issued a wind advisory that lasts until 10 p.m. Gusts up to 50 miles per hour are possible, the NWS said.
They said:"West winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result."
