Hoboken Band Yo La Tengo To Play $300-Per-Ticket Harris/Walz Fundraiser At Bookshop
Now the former president has new musicians to Tweet about.
HOBOKEN, NJ — Popular indie band Yo La Tengo was founded in Hoboken 40 years ago, and they haven't forgotten their roots. Their tunes include "Night Falls On Hoboken" and the more recent "Sinatra Drive Breakdown."
They're touring this year, and will make a stop this coming week at independent bookstore Little City Books for a $300-per-ticket fundraiser for presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. The vice president and Minnesota governor are taking on former President Donald Trump and Sen. J.D. Vance.
Yo La Tengo has returned to Hoboken often, including to play their annual eight days of Hannukah shows. This year, that series will take place at the Bowery Ballroom. But they'll also do a show at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City this Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 23 and 24, in advance of Thursday's more intimate show at Little City.
