Hoboken Tree Lighting Slated for Dec. 9

Why battle the winter winds and crowds in NYC when you can take part in a magical holiday experience, right here in Hoboken? This month, the Mile Square will twinkle and jive with a series of live performances, family friendly events, and a tree lighting.

This year’s Christmas Tree Lighting will be held outside City Hall at 5 p.m. on Dec. 9. This event will be hosted by Elvis the Elf, with prizes and giveaways from CBS FM 101.1 radio station. Locals will perform and Santa Claus will be on hand to greet the audience.

The tree lighting will feature performances by:

• Hoboken Cheer Dynamic Allstars: Tiny Team and Junior Team

• Studio L Dancers

• HoLa Third Grade Chorus

• Songs from A Hoboken Tale written by Dan McLoughlin

• Hoboken Hip Hop from All Saints

• Four Girl Scout Troops

• North River Sing Choir

• The Royal Princesses of Once Upon a Princess Parties: Snow Queen, Apple Princess, Glass Slipper Princess, and Sleeping Princess

City Hall is located just three blocks from all public transportation including: NJ Transit trains and buses, NY Waterway Ferries and Hudson Bergen Light Rail.
