The podcast targets the millions of couples-turned-entrepreneurs, a trend that’s on the rise. The show’s hosts, Micki & Tony Parente, are a couple of entrepreneurs themselves, and co-founders of Branding Shorts, an award-winning creative agency based in Hoboken NJ.

Is spending 24/7 together a recipe for disaster? Or success? What makes it work? Successful entrepreneurial couples share key lessons and advice. “When we took the time to clearly define our roles we were able to succeed, and didn’t want to kill each other,” said Red Bonk, who runs Homes by Bonk in Hoboken NJ with her husband, Jeff Bonk. Or as Karen Schmidt, of Schmidt Brothers Cutlery, who works with her husband Jared, and his brother, Jordan shares “We treat each others as humans before we treat each other as colleagues. That’s what keeps us married and a happy family”

The biggest benefit and challenge of being a husband and wife team according to Steve DiPasquale, who co-founded Amanda Bananas, an award-winning soft-serve fruit desert truck, with his wife Amanda DiPasquale is “being together 24/7.” Steve added , “the most important factor in being together that long every day in business or life is communication.”

“As an entrepreneur you might think business and love can't mix. But there’s no reason couples can’t work together to create an extraordinary experience. But it takes work.” says Micki Pagano-Parente, co-host. “Producing this podcast is a lot of fun and it’s great to hear how other couples make it work,” said Tony Parente, co-host. “Any couples starting a business together or really any entrepreneurs can learn a lot from them.”
