Hoboken High School Indoor Track & Field Team Shatters 2 Long-Standing Records

The Hoboken High School Indoor Track & Field team is thrilled to announce two record-breaking performances that have etched new names into the school’s history books.

In early December, rising star Hudson Tseng delivered a jaw-dropping performance in the Boys Indoor 200m event, clocking an incredible time of 23.38 seconds. This remarkable feat broke the previous record of 23.4 seconds, set by Ty Wholf in January 2022. Hudson’s precision, speed, and dedication are a testament to the hard work he has put into his training this season.

In another historic achievement this past week, Aleksander Gray smashed a record that had stood the test of time for nearly three decades. Competing in the Boys Indoor 600m event, Aleksander ran a stunning time of 1:29.87, surpassing Jason Ramos’ 1995 record of 1:32.9. Aleksander’s persistence and commitment to excellence have paved the way for this monumental accomplishment.

“It’s incredible to witness the level of talent and determination these young athletes bring to the track,” said Head Indoor Track Coach Andrew Mendez. “Hudson and Aleksander have worked tirelessly to reach this milestone, and their achievements are an inspiration to the entire team and school community. We couldn’t be prouder of their efforts.”
