Hoboken Hosts National Night Out

This time, the police is invited to the party.

, the annual tradition where the police department hosts a block party in the Housing Authority area, will be held on Harrison Street between Second and Fourth Streets on Tuesday night, Aug. 7, from 5 to 9 p.m.

This year's NNO will be dedicated to Maurice Fitzgibbons, the former freeholder and prominente. 

His family members will receive a plaque in his honor.

The event was planned, even though there is no longer a community policing unit in the Hoboken Police Department.
