Hoboken Police Arrest Elizabeth Man After Assault

Hoboken police arrested a 22-year-old Elizabeth man on Sunday morning, after allegedly being involved in a simple assault in downtown Hoboken. 

Around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, an eye witness told police he had just seen an assault take place at First and Bloomfield, according to police reports. 

Around the corner, police said they saw 22-year-old Chris Cruz, with bloodied hands.

Cruz then admitted he was the one who allegedly punched a 23-year-old Boonton man, police said. Police arrested him on simple assault charges and took him to Police Headquarters.
