Hoboken Under Severe Thunderstorm Warning; Heavy Winds and Rain Arrive in Area
The National Weather Service is predicting "large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain" on Thursday night.
UPDATE, 7:45 p.m.—Hoboken was placed under a severe thunderstorm watch on Thursday night, as heavy rain and winds began around 8 p.m. The severe watch lasted until 8:30 p.m., according to the city's announcement.
The severe weather watch will last until 11 p.m. Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.
Heavy rain and hail are expected to pour down on the state Thursday night, including Hoboken.
