Police: Hoboken Woman Sexually Assaulted on Walk Home

No arrests were made by police, but the girl said the man had blond hair.

A Hoboken woman was sexually assaulted by an unknown man on her "routine walk" to her downtown Adams Street apartment around 1:30 a.m. Friday, police said.

Earlier in the evening, the woman had been to a bar on First Street and had gotten a slice of pizza at Basile's on downtown Washington Street, police said. Afterward, she walked west on Second Street, like she usually does.

When she arrived at her door, she felt a hand go up under her dress and was touched over her underwear, police said. The woman immediately began to scream and the alleged actor ran away.

As the woman turned around, she caught a glimpse of the man, describing him to police as 5-foot-inches tall, medium build, and between 30 and 40 years-old. She didn't have any more specifics, she said, "because it happened so quickly."

Police canvassed the area, but didn't find the man. No arrests were made.
