Jersey City Man Assaulted on Washington Street
A 21-year-old was hit in the head with a glass bottle, police said.

A Jersey City man was assaulted with a glass bottle over the weekend, according to police reports.
Around 2 a.m. on Saturday at Third and Washington Streets, a 21-year-old was struck in the head with a glass bottle by an unknown man, police said.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the victim unconscious, according to police reports. A large crowd had formed, police said.

The victim had a cut above his eyes and while he was responsive, he wasn't fully coherent, police said.
A friend of the victim said that he had left Bahama Mama's with him shortly before the assault, police said. As they walked north on Washington, the men encountered another group with which they got into a fight, police said. The two groups didn't know each other.
