Jersey City Man has iPad Stolen in Hoboken

Don't forget, you can't leave your belongings unattended in a coffeeshop.

To many, the Starbucks in Hoboken have become surrogate living rooms. 

But, unlike at home, you can't leave your belongings unattended. 

On Sunday afternoon, between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., one 24-year-old Jersey City man had his iPad stolen from an unattended backpack during a long study session, according to police reports.

The man told police he set up shop at Starbucks around 11 a.m. to study. He took two breaks during the day during which he left the coffee shop, police said. Around 4:30 p.m. he noticed that his iPad—worth $499—was missing from his backpack. 

While there is security footage, the store manager said she was unable to notice anybody taking hte iPad, because the shop was busy all day long, according to reports.
