LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Young Republicans Endorse Real Results

 Dear Hoboken Residents,

      As Chairman of the Hudson County Young Republicans, I would like to take this opportunity to formally endorse Real Results 2010 in the upcoming election on April 20th, 2010.  Kathleen Tucker, Perry Lin, Elizabeth Markevitch & John Forsman are exceptional candidates who will serve the community well by improving the quality of education for children in Hoboken. 

      I am a natural-born optimist, but when my dear friend, John Forsman informed me he wanted to run for a position on the Hoboken School Board, my excited response was one of optimism and happiness.  We talked, I inquired as to his motivation and he explained his position.  Subsequently, I was delighted to see such a commitment by John in this endeavor.  Here is why the Hudson County Young Republicans support Real Results 2010:

• The residents of Hoboken need someone on the School Board who will tell the truth and not sell them out.
• The residents of Hoboken need someone on the School Board who is anchored by high principles and unwavering integrity.
• The residents of Hoboken need someone who will implement a curriculum that truly enhances the educational needs of children.

Kathleen, Perry, Elizabeth & John understand integrity flows from the inside out.  In your personal life, you either stand up for what's right or you don't.  In the political world, you are either an unwavering fighter for the people or you are subservient to the status quo.  Thus, we can either elect someone onto the Hoboken School Board who is fresh, politically untainted, full of integrity, and comes with innovative solutions to the problems Hoboken faces or we can usher in those who will uphold the "business as normal" approach, which ultimately results in the decline of education for Hoboken students.  

Real Results 2010 represent a dismantling of the counter-progressive way of doing things in Hudson County.  We need more upstanding, intelligent, honest people on the School Board if we are going to effect meaningful change in the quality of education for the children of Hoboken.  On behalf of the Hudson County Young Republicans, we wholeheartedly support them.
