Longtime Goodman's Clothing Shop In Hoboken Will Now Be Corner Café
A longtime clothing shop and haberdashery on lower Washington Street in Hoboken will get a new purpose.
HOBOKEN, NJ — A longtime clothing shop on Washington and First streets in Hoboken will soon get a new purpose.
Goodman's clothing, which anchored that corner until the 1990s — across from City Hall — is being renovated into a café.
The store was originally opened 101 years ago by Benjamin Goodman. As the large painted sign on the First Street wall indicates, he ran the store as a haberdashery that also sold sportswear and boys' and men's clothes.
