A 31-year-old Hoboken man allegedly emptied the contents of a fire extinguisher in the hallway of a building on Second Street, police said.

Around 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police received a call about a man in a sweatshirt on the roof of 212 Third Street, according to reports. When police arrived, they found Jason Denny, wearing a red sweatshirt, walking down the stairs of the building.
Police said he seemed intoxicated and there was white residue on his red sweatshirt. When asked why he was there, police said, Denny answered he was in the building to get into a party.

Denny added that he had emptied an extinguisher in the hallway of the top floor of the building, according to the report. Denny was arrested and charged with unlicensed entry of a building and damages to property belonging to someone else, according to the report.
After the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps arrived and treated Denny, he started to understand what had happened, police said. Denny told police he had taken an acoholic beverage and an ambien at home earlier that evening, according to reports.
Police said Denny said he must have not realized he left his apartment and blacked out once he arrived at 212 Third street.
Denny signed a refusal for further medical care, police said.
